Since its beginning in 1888, WMU has become the largest Protestant missions organization for women in the world, with a membership of approximately 1 million.

WMU's main purpose is to educate and involve adults, youth, children, and preschoolers in the cause of Christian missions. Although originally geared towards women, girls, and preschoolers, both genders are active participants in WMU organizations and ministries today.

WMU organizations at Parkview include:

Women on Mission Women on Mission® is a missions organization for women (ages 18 and up) through which women pray for and give to missions, do missions, learn about missions, grow spiritually toward a missions lifestyle, and participate in the work of the church and the denomination.

The purpose of all Women on Mission activities is that every person have the opportunity to hear and respond to the gospel.

Parkview has both day and night groups that meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month.

Mission FriendsMission Friends is the church missions organization of WMU for preschoolers ages 4 and 5. The primary objective of Mission Friends is to provide a strong foundation for preschoolers in a Christian and missions lifestyle.

Mission Friends provides developmentally appropriate missions learning experiences to help preschoolers move from a self-centered focus to a focus on others, to become aware that not everyone knows about God's love, and to understand ways they can help others know about this good news!

Mision Friends meets each Wedneday from 6:30pm to 7:30pm.
